Dr. Bing Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he directs the GRIND Lab (Geospatial Responsible AI for Nature-human Dynamics Laboratory).
His research focuses on geospatial data science, responsible GIScience, GeoAI, disaster resilience and management, spatial big data, and human–environment interactions.
His work integrates remote sensing, human mobility, street-view imagery, social sensing, environmental observations, and other forms of geospatial data to better understand exposure, vulnerability, human behavior, and recovery across space and time.
Her research uses geospatial data science to investigate environmental health, spatial equity, urban systems, and human–environment interactions.
His research focuses on multimodal GeoAI, geospatial foundation models, and spatial data science, with applications to natural hazards and human-centered environmental perception.
